2004 Report

We have big plans for the station this year! Here's what's happening so far:

a part-time technical producer position has been filled adding Steve Massoni to the staff
camera and editing classes are continuing seasonally
new productions included:
"Tidewater Tales"
TC Board of Ed. Meetings
we presently have 20 trained camera volunteers working MCTV productions
weekly programming was expanded to 5pm - 1pm
an information board is located in the Avalon lobby

The 4th of July live--an annual tradition--is being planned with some new twists.

MCTV is always looking for new community producers. While the station offers classes on proper camera techniques for broadcast quality video on a seasonal basis, individuals with prior camera experience can also submit videos that they have taped on their own equipment. Sporting events, school concerts and public lectures are some of the easiest programs for volunteers to produce. Talk show or humorous skits are other, more intensive projects that can be done by local producers with their own equipment and locations. Some standards and guidelines apply. Specific questions about your productions can be sent to mctv@goeaston.net for a prompt response.
