The Norfork Southern (former CR) Morrisville Line runs about 100ft from the south side the hotel, traffic on the line is moderate. We had a third floor room on the trackside, lower floor rooms would sit below the grade, a 4th or 5th floor room would be better. The views are somewhat restricted due to growth of trees on the embankment. Lower number rooms (those above the lobby at the front of the hotel) would be completely restricted when there are leaves on the trees.

There are no crossing in the area and little noise from the scanner, so a train could show at any time with little warning. The hotel offers an awesome continental breakfast.
