My husband and I operate a bed and breakfast very close to CSX tracks which run through Haverstraw, NY, a quaint little village on the Hudson River. Recently, we had some train buffs stay here and they were very pleased.

The CSX Hudson River freight line tracks through the B&B's backyard. Views rate a C as it is difficult to see the trains from the house but you can hear them coming and it is a short run to get trackside. Railroad station in view of house. Only one room faces the tracks. Hosts are most accomodating and served us breakfast in the back yard so we could be close to the action. Food was delicious. Many trains especially in the morning. Overall a very attractive location.
