Clean, large room, view from window of Montana Rail Link main line on an embankment to the north but BNSF overhead trains predominate, however the view is limited to the space between the two wings of the motel building; both east and west bound trains blow horns for road crossing either side of motel so some warning. Ask for room with a view of railroad, (looked like this would be possible from both wings of the motel).

The Thunderbird Motel is across the street from the MRL Line and see's (when I was there) quite a few trains a day. There is also a medium sized yard within walking distance. I think I stayed in room 217 that had a direct view of the tracks (100 feet away). Due to the proximity of the yard trains are moving slowly and most stop for crew change or supplies from the adjacent convienience store. I don't recall the price but it was reasonable.
