Just returned home from four fabulous days with the family at Fernandina Beach, we stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites on Second Street. In addition to great food, bike tours of historic Fort Clinch and the beaches, I was treated to the Fernandina switcher each morning and evening. It worked the Smurfit-Stone paper mill and came right outside our window. It was the same B-36 every day, but cool just the same. Lots of fun. The hotel is a little pricey,averaging $140 bucks a night, but brand new and VERY nice.
