This location has a good view of Union Pacific's ex-SP Coast Lline where it crosses Devonshire Blvd. Rooms 303-312 have the best view, looking east (303-306) or south (307-312, but labeled as suites), with the second floor not as good but acceptable. Amtrak (Coast Starlight and Surfliners daily) pass and stop at the Chatsworth station in view just to the south of the motel. Metrolink (weekdays) and UP freights also pass. There are two tracks by the motel, with the siding ending about a half mile railroad west of the motel, just before the start of the Chatsworth tunnels, so meets can occur. Rooms are fairly good (two stars on the AAA rating system) with a good continental breakfast in two second floor rooms with an excellent view of the tracks and the station.
