We recently spent two nights at the Inn at Spences Bridge in Spences Bridge, BC, and were able to count 77 trains. The Inn is located between the Canadian Pacific main line and the Thompson River ( with Canadian National mainline) just east of the Highway 8 / TransCanada Highway 1 junction.

There are rooms available facing either set of tracks, or a couple small rooms that have a limited view of both. Our room was 1 of 2 that had a balcony overlooking the CP main and their small yard in Spences Bridge. The Inn is run by a wonderful couple and they have an in-house restaurant that serves an excellent vegetarian menu. There are other restaurants and pubs nearby on Highway 1. Our 2 day stay saw 77 trains pass between CN and CP.
