None of the rooms have balconies, so viewing the trains in limited through a small window. Impossible to look up and down the tracks. My wife and I found the place at around 5:00 PM and stayed until 7:00 AM the following day. Saw a total of 3 trains. One may have come through during the night for a possible total of 4 trains. The accomodations are slim, especially having to pay $80 for the night which was the senior rate. Unless someone is having a serious case of needing trains, I wouldn't recommend the place. Much nicer and less expensive motel rooms are available and there's plenty of places to watch trains from your automobile.

You had a listing of the Quality Inn in Pueblo as being next to the tracks, but it is not. It's actually the Sleep Inn (both are franchised out by Choice Hotels). I know this because I work at the Sleep Inn and have for the past 1.5 yrs. It is true that all of our odd numbered rooms face the tracks (which are right on the east of the hotel). A guest told me about this website and that is why he sought out this hotel.

The Quality Inn sits along the UP/BNSF Joint line. Any odd numbered room gives a great view of the tracks. Also, there are no grade crossings near the hotel so there are no loud horns waking you up at night.
